HANDPRINT POEM

I first saw this work of art framed and proudly mounted on a friends wall , My friend says it is one of the best presents she has ever received and is guaranteed to make her smile during those times when Mothering can be tough .
I think it is lovely too .

Equipment
Several print outs of poem
Bright Non-Toxic paint
Paper/Plastic plate to hold the paint in
Sponge to apply paint to child's hand
Wetones or paper towel to do a quick clean-up!
Water and towels for REAL clean-up
Optional small photo of child

Sometimes you get discouraged

Because I am so small

And always leave my fingerprints

On furniture and walls

But every day I'm growing

I'll be all grown up some day

And all those tiny handprints

Will surely fade away

So here's a little handprint

Just so you can recall

Exactly how my fingers looked

When I was very small

Happy Mothers Day With love from ............... (name & date)

Alternate Poem

I may outgrow the clothes I wear and the toys I play with too.

I may outgrow the songs I sing and all the pictures I drew.

I may outgrow this handprint, but when my growing is through,

Remember that I love you Mum and I will never outgrow you!

What to do

Print several copies of the poem , leave an area for the childs hand print and photo if desired

Use a sponge to cover palm with brightly coloured paint, then press hand carefully to the paper near the poem. It might take several attempts before you get a good print, patience is key.
