WEEKLY PROGRAM 2

Opening Parade: welcome  Break flag , Joey hop and snake, break off.
Have a look at the Clowns we made last week and decorate the hall with them ...

GAME :    Hoopla

Equipment: hoops

Joey scouts line up at one end of the hall , leaders are positioned down a line each holding a hoop the Joey scouts become circus cats and dogs jumping through the hoops then run back up the hall to join the end of the line , alternate the position of the hoops , start with all resting on the ground , then perhaps all slightly raised , then raise one , or two , have one horizontal so the joeys need to climb up under and then over the hoop , lay one one the ground Joeys need to jump into the middle raise the hoop over their body and lay it on the ground before moving to the next hoop. 

STORY :        ________________

CRAFT :    Balloon faces

EQUIPMENT ...... Balloons , flour , funnel

Fill balloons with flour , to about hand size , tie off , add hair and eyes and mould face to the shape you like , hours and hours of fun with this craft

GAME: Musical Dress Up

Joey Scouts sitting in a large circle pass the garbage back from one to the next while the music plays, when the music top the Joey Scout holding the bag reaches in to take one item of clothing (no peeking) which they then put on. Game continues until all the clothing is being worn. The results are hilarious!

GAME :   Tight Rope Walking  

Equipment:  rope or masking tape, umbrella (optional) 

Challenge the Joey Scouts to walk along the tight rope without losing their balance while pretending to be clowns (still dressed up from the last game) Try walking forward, backward, jumping, hopping along on one foot, holding a balloon over their heads, balancing coins on the backs of hands. And for the finale, turn on some music and the Joey's can make up a crazy clown dance as they rock across the rope.
