CEREAL BOX ELEPHANT
Equipment:
a cereal box for each Joey Scout in your Mob, wool, construction
paper, toilet paper rolls, tape, and scissors.
The cereal box is the body of the elephant. Cut out the trunk and ears from construction paper why not try an old sock for the trunk? Tape or staple them to the body. Tape a piece of wool to the bottom of the cereal box for a tail. Use the toilet paper rolls for legs. Eyes can be added with colour crayons or markers.
SILLY CLOWN SHOES
Equipment:
gummed paper reinforcements (optional shoe lace holes), 2 clown shoes
(shoe boxes), 2 x 150cm lengths of ribbon, string, wool ,or 2 x 150cm
shoe laces, 2 pot scrubbers or pompoms (optional), paint, stickers
etc for decorating, lots of imagination
RING MASTER'S TOP HAT
Equipment:
Black construction paper, tape, staples, scissors
Measure construction paper to form a tube to fit the child's head. Staple. On another sheet of paper, draw around the tube to form a circle, then draw another circle about two inches larger. Poke scissors through the center of the small circle. Cut wedges to the line of the small circle. Fold the wedges upward and paste to the inside of the tube to form a hat with a brim.
THE AMAZING HYPNO
Equipment: white construction paper, plastic bottle caps, small dark coloured buttons, plastic food wrap, tape, wooden tongue depressor or icy pole stick, paper plate, stapler, glue, wool or paper strips for hair.
It's easy to make the amazing Hypno puppet. First, trace around the top of a bottle cap (either plastic or metal cap) on white paper. Cut out the circle and glue it inside the cap. Put a small dark button inside the cap. Next, cut out a square of clear plastic wrap or sticky tape and cover by stretching the plastic over the open front of the cap, and taping in place; TA DA you have an eye! Once you have made 2 eyes, attach these to your paper plate (this is the face of "the Amazing Hypno") Now add some facial features and a mop of hair, staple the tongue depressor to the bottom of the paper plate as a handle and jiggle your amazing Hypno his eyes will roll and roll!
MAGNIFICENT MEGAPHONE
Equipment:
Scissors, One 22cm X 30cm. construction paper, decorate with crayons,
markers etc., Tape or glue, buttons
Cut 22cm square from the paper. Save both pieces. With a crayon, draw a line to round off one corner of the square. Cut off. Draw designs on the paper. Bring paper together and tape. If necessary, cut off the top of the cone to make an opening you can talk through. If you like, make a handle for your megaphone. Cut a 1 X 22cm strip from remaining paper and make a ring. Flatten ring and glue to megaphone for handle.
FUNNY CLOWN BOWS
Equipment:
One 18cm X 30cm. piece tissue paper, gift wrap, or construction
paper, ruler, tape, 1 pipe cleaner
Place the tissue paper on the work surface so one of the long sides is closest to you. Make a fold on a long side 1cm. from the edge. Press hard to make the fold stay in place. Turn the paper over and make another fold about 1cm. from first fold. Turn and fold again and again until all the paper is folded. Wrap a piece of tape around the center of the folded paper. Unfold the ends to make the bow. Bend the pipe cleaner into the shape of the letter C. Tape the center of the pipe cleaner to the center of the bow. Wear bow around your neck as a clown's bow tie or in your hair as a headband.
BALLOON

Equipment:
Balloons , flour , funnel
Fill balloons with flour , to about hand size , tie off , add hair and eyes and mould face to the shape you like , hours and hours of fun with this craft
CIRCUS TRAIN
Equipment:
Styrofoam or plastic trays, construction paper, pipe cleaners, black
construction paper circles or plastic milk bottle tops for wheels,
glue, tape, staples, scissors, materials for drawing and colouring
circus animals or provide black and white pictures of animals to be
cut out and coloured.
Joey Scouts draw and colour in any circus animal they wish, next they glue their animal onto the tray and attach strips of paper or pipe cleaners from top to bottom to form the bars of the animal carriage, lastly add a couple of wheels to the bottom and you have part of the circus train complete. Leader may have already prepared a train engine to which the carriages can be joined to make a terrific wall display.
